Windows 10 using product key

So I got windows 10 for my PC some time ago, but have only recently purchased a product key. Both are official not pirated. Upon opening the activation menu I get this message. I am connected to the internet through wifi yet this error will not go away. It also appears upon attempting to input the code. I’ve done some troubleshooting already, I have scanned for malware, done a bunch of command prompt stuff as an administrator, freed up space and some more things I can’t remember.

This is making me tear my hair out. Upd ate Windows, if it’s not in v21H1. That error code means ‘access is denied’. Make sure you’re signed in to the administrative account and not a guest account. It may work for Windows activation too, since some Office activation errors are caused by Windows.

Ran through the steps you linked to but the error is still there. I also checked and the account is indeed an administrative account. I purchased the key from Quamerce a third party retailer that my friend recommended, but I don’t think that’s the issue.
