Sun, Nov 27, PM. Official Solution. Photoshop CC Could not complete your request because an unexpected end-of-file was encountered Windows.

Photoshop won’t open a. Adobe Photoshop Family. The image is downloaded from my Instagram account, but is seems that there is same issue with all images downloaded from Instagram. Responses Official Solution. Hi everyone, Today Adobe released new versions of many of our Creative Cloud applications including Photoshop and After Effects that fix the above issue.

The Photoshop internal version number is Thank you! Did you tried re-save image in another program? But Chrome and some others are smart enough to recognize it. Everyone can try this yourself, download any image from Instagram and try to open it in Photoshop tested on latest version CC Re-saving image in another program and then opening it i Photoshop works, so that is not a problem. We’re currently looking into this issue.

Any news after 2 months of looking? The issue has been resolved and should ship in the next version of Photoshop. Ah, I can’t wait for this update as I work a lot with pictures from Instagram, and I am really tired of constantly having to use other tools to re-save and hence re-compress pictures before I could open them in Photoshop. It’s really tedious shouldn’t have been necessary in the first place with a professional tool like Photoshop, which I would expect to have no problems opening ANY kind of pictures at least any common file types.

But I’m glad this will hopefully be fixed now. I have just started having this issue – so no. The problem is not resolved. Photoshop CC seems to have a problem opening any picture saved from Instagram and gives a “Unable to complete your request, problem with parsing the jpeg-data” error.

Only known workaround is using any other free programs like Infraview, MS Paint, windows picture viewer etc to open and re-save the image, before it can then be opened in Photoshop CC Could really use a real fix for this Instagram problem for Photoshop since it should not be nessecary to use another 3-part program.

Try open the file using the “Preview” or your computer default graphic program, then re-save the file by exporting the file.

Having to open the image in the MS viewer and save the image so PS will recognize and open it is really a stupid idea. Come Adobe get with the program and find out what is causing the problem and fix it Hi there, Thank you for the report. We have fixed this issue with these types of progressive JPEG images and the fix will be released in the next version of Photoshop.

That great that you all fixed this problem. Will this fix somehow be communicated to the AE engineering or QA team? This would be great if you all could somehow collaborate on the issue since you’ve done the leg work in solving the problem.

Thanks, Arie. Hi Arie, I have reproduced this in After Effects as well. I have reported it to the After Effects team for them to also fix. Thanks for letting me know! Thanks, Jeff. Hi again, I just received word that the After Effects team has also addressed this in their next version of After Effects. Thanks for the feedback! That’s awesome. Thank you for getting in touch with them! Hello, I am still having this problem. It very recently started, too. Thanks for looking into it! Still having this issue, I thought there was talk of if being corrected months ago?
