Microsoft word 2016 vocabulary definitions free

When working in Word standalone, not part of Office , I apparently have, by default, the RoamingCustomDictionary. I have discovered that, with roughly half my documents, when I spellcheck I’m not allowed to add any words to the spell-check dictionary. I’ve compared the dictionaries between those documents and the documents I CAN add words to the spellcheck dictionary in, and I see no difference in any of the settings.

I would very much like to be able to add words in ALL of my documents, not just the ones it seems Word 16 allows me to. This thread is locked. You can have several proofing dictionaries present, but you can only add words to the default dictionary and you can only add words that are formatted in the language configured for the dictionary, so to use a common dictionary, ensure that the dictionary is set to All Languages.

Word seems to keep defaulting to the first Roaming , and I’ve tried getting it to default to ‘default. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community. I have the same question 6.
